Lori Thomas Reid
Lori Thomas Reid has been with the law firm of Puryear, Newman & Morton, PLLC since 2004. She is a 1985 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English degree from the University of Mississippi in 1983. She was born in Central Illinois where she attended and graduated from Bement High School.
Lori focuses her practice on family law. After moving to Tennessee in 1994, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District of the State of Tennessee. She prosecuted child support cases as a IV-D attorney for nearly ten (10) years. The Child Support Office won the "Best Office in the State" for five years in a row under her leadership. She then went into private practice and joined the law firm of Puryear, Newman & Morton, PLLC. She represents people in prenuptial agreements, divorce, post-divorce, child support, custody, adoption, and juvenile court cases. She is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Illinois.
Lori is an active member of the Williamson County Bar Association and American Inns of Court. She is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. She is also very active in the community. She is the Scholarship Chairman and former board member of the Brentwood Rotary Club. She is an active member of the Alpha Delta Pi Alumni Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House at Vanderbilt University.
Lori has been married to her husband, Randy, for over twenty-four years, and they have two children. Her oldest child is a student at the University of Alabama, and her youngest is a senior at Ravenwood High School. She has coached her son in Odyssey of the Mind, coached her daughter in Civitan Softball, assisted with the Ravenwood Mock Trial Team, and teaches Religious Education with her daughter at Holy Family Catholic Church.
